Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking a compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our 28-bed Acute General Medical Ward in a either a part-time or full-time, permanent position. Based at our Springfield campus, you'll be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare as Mater Hospital Springfield opened in early 2026. This state-of-the-art facility has been designed to meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield community and will provide a mix of public and private services across ICU, maternity, emergency, medical and surgical care, supporting more than 200,000 patient episodes each year.

This is an exciting opportunity to build your nursing career in a modern, patient-centred environment, caring for a diverse range of medical patients alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. You'll be supported to develop your clinical skills while delivering delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.

Salary range: $37.93 - $40.31 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you'll be doing

You'll provide safe, compassionate nursing care while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding outcomes for patients. You will:

  • Deliver delegated, evidence-based nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Undertake comprehensive patient assessments within your scope of practice and communicate findings effectively.
  • Implement, evaluate and document nursing interventions to support quality patient outcomes.
  • Assist with patient education, discharge planning and health promotion activities.
  • Advocate for patients by supporting informed decision-making and delivering person-centred care.
  • Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety and clinical quality.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture.
  • Support the learning and development of students and less experienced Enrolled Nurses where appropriate.

You're a caring and adaptable Enrolled Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and thrives in a collaborative hospital environment. You will bring:Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
