Job description

Cybersecurity Instructor Colorado Springs, CO Support mission-critical cybersecurity training operations for the United States Air and Space Force by preparing teams to operate effectively in high-responsibility environments. Before You Apply This is a full-time W-2 position with Allyon. * Active TS/SCI security clearance required. * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent certifications and experience required. * 3 or more years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on training or course development required. Candidates cannot proceed in the application process without meeting the required qualifications listed above. What You Will Do * Implement risk management programs for our federal clients by utilizing NIST, RMF, and FISMA compliance frameworks. * Enhance cyber awareness with clients and project teams. * Work alongside federal clients to help them mitigate risk through continuous monitoring and incident response. * Establish security controls to ensure the protection of client systems. * Implement cutting-edge security tools for our federal clients. * Design, develop, and present cyber defense training objectives, curricula, instructor guides, student guides, job aids, course outlines, and other course materials utilizing instructional design models. * Create and present technical lab scenarios to provide hands-on learning that simulates real-world cyber threats. * Tailor training to space mission systems/operations and associated key cyber terrain. * Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles and ensure engagement. * Improve existing course content to ensure it remains current and effective. * Mentor federal clients in best practices for responding to cyber incidents, cyber defense, and mission planning. Required Qualifications * BS/BA in a technical field or one of the preferred/qualifying trainings/certifications (in lieu of degree) listed below: * Preferred / Qualifying training and/or certifications (in lieu of degree) * Certified Ethical Hacker (Practical); CompTIA Cloud+; CompTIA PenTest+; CompTIA Security+; GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED); GIAC Continuous Monitoring (GMON); GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA); GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID); GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC); DAU DCWF 511 Cyber Defense Analyst - Intermediate Playlist; CIN A-531-1900 Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC); CIN A-531-4421 Intermediate Cyber Core (CTN); DISA (511) Training DCWF Cyber Defense Analyst; NEC H13A Navy Interactive ON-NET Operator; Certified Information Systems Security Officer (CISSO) * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. * Active TS/SCI security clearance required. * Experience working with RMF and NIST 800-53. * Experience working with cybersecurity tools. * Experience with cyber awareness (e.g., phishing emails, cyber training). * 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with an emphasis on cybersecurity course training development. * 3+ years of experience with SIEM/IDS/IPS (Elastic Stack, Splunk, HBSS, or equivalent). * Strong background/familiarity with Windows and Linux command line, networking, traffic analysis, and MITRE ATT&CK framework. * 1+ year of experience working on a cybersecurity team such as a SOC (Security Operations Center), CPT (Cyber Protection Team), or CSSP (Cybersecurity Service Provider). * Local to Colorado Springs, CO and able to work onsite 5 days/week in Colorado Springs, CO. Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience with the US Air Force, US Space Force, or federal consulting. * Prior experience with US Air Force or US Space Force weapons systems. The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, clearance level, and alignment to mission requirements and work location.
