Job description

Job Title

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is recruiting entry-level professionals to support a range of work across our diverse cybersecurity missions.

Duties

These individuals will serve across the Department, including supporting several specialized programs at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE), U.S. Secret Service Agency (USSS), and DHS Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans (PLCY). These positions are in the DHS Cybersecurity Service. As a DHS Cybersecurity Service employee in the Entry Track you will:

  • Participate in a formal development program to gain and then apply expertise related to a primary technical capability.
  • Effectively conducting routine analyses to generate recommendations for resolving identified cybersecurity challenges.
  • Seek opportunities to assist others in addressing more complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Apply foundational technical expertise, gained through formal and informal learning activities, to perform basic cybersecurity work.
