Job description

About Unlimit

Unlimit is a global fintech ecosystem built to eliminate financial borders holding businesses back. The company provides the extensive infrastructure needed to scale globally, integrating payment processing, multi-currency business accounts, BaaS and crypto gateways into a single, intelligent platform.

Across 17 offices globally, Unlimit bridges hyper-local expertise with a high-capacity financial network, giving companies the agility to expand across regions with operational confidence and speed. Driving the evolution of payments, Unlimit is transforming its infrastructure from human-operated fintech into AI-native financial infrastructure — where APIs are consumed by machines, integrations are negotiated by agents, and systems evolve continuously through intelligent automation. Our next users are not only humans. They are AI agents acting on behalf of humans and businesses.

Unlimit serves more than the needs of businesses today; we are building the nervous system for a borderless global economy.

As we continue to expand across regulated markets worldwide, we’re looking for a Head of Cyber Security to lead our global Cyber Security function. Reporting directly to the CISO, you’ll drive the operational execution of Unlimit’s cyber security strategy, ensuring our infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, and security operations remain resilient against an evolving threat landscape.

As Head of Cyber Security, you will lead the teams and technologies responsible for protecting Unlimit’s global technology ecosystem. Working alongside the CISO, Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, and Information Security teams, you’ll own operational cyber security, continuously improving our detection, response, engineering, and application security capabilities.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who enjoys building modern cyber defence capabilities through automation, AI, and engineering excellence. You’ll play a key role in transforming traditional security operations into intelligent, highly automated security platforms powered by agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the company's cybersecurity strategy.
  • Lead and develop the Cyber Security team.
  • Oversee Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Detection, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Drive Cloud Security, Application Security, and DevSecOps initiatives across the organization.
  • Strengthen security architecture and ensure the protection of critical infrastructure and platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Improve security processes through automation and AI-driven technologies.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DORA, and SWIFT CSCF.
What We\'re Looking For
  • 7+ years of experience in Cyber Security, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical background in Security Engineering, Security Operations, Cloud Security, or DevSecOps.
  • Hands-on experience with Incident Response, Threat Detection, Vulnerability Management, and Security Architecture.
  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS and/or GCP) and modern infrastructure technologies.
  • Previous experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving security initiatives across engineering organizations.
What We Offer
  • The opportunity to shape the cybersecurity strategy of a global fintech company.
  • A modern technology environment with a strong focus on cloud technologies, automation, and AI.
  • Relocation support to Belgrade, Serbia.
  • Competitive compensation, annual performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
