## Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineer, Product Security ValidationApplyremote type: Hybridlocations: Warren, Michigan, United States of Americatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-202617424**Job Description****The Role**The Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineer, Product Security Validation role sits within the broader Product Cybersecurity organization at General Motors and focuses on building and modernizing the platforms, pipelines, and frameworks used to validate cybersecurity for vehicle-related features and architectures. This engineer acts as a platform and tooling owner for validation, reducing validation engineer toil, improving test reliability, and enabling higher quality security outcomes in less time for the broader Product Cybersecurity organization.**What You'll Do*** Design and evolve product security validation platforms, pipelines, and test frameworks* Build automated test capabilities that improve reliability and reduce manual validation effort* Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and services to support scalable security validation* Explore and implement AI-driven robustness and fuzz testing approaches for product features* Create and curate high-quality, reusable test cases for cybersecurity-relevant behaviors* Partner with validation engineers and product teams to integrate security tests into existing workflows**Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)*** 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, SDET, or software development roles* Strong experience building or extending automated test frameworks, pipelines, and tooling* Proficiency in at least one programming language and one scripting language used in test automation* Experience working with CI/CD systems to run, track, and report on automated test suites* Familiarity with validating complex systems such as embedded software, mobile apps, or backend services* Able to work closely with engineers and validation teams to improve coverage, reliability, and efficiency**What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)*** Experience in automotive, embedded, or other complex, safety- or mission-critical product environments* Prior work building test platforms or harnesses for security, robustness, or reliability testing* Familiarity with fuzzing, robustness testing, or AI/ML techniques applied to software validation* Experience organizing and maintaining large test suites, test data, and associated tooling**What You'll Bring*** A platform engineering mindset focused on building durable capabilities, not one-off tests* Strong focus on reliability, repeatability, and signal quality in validation workflows* The ability to translate validation engineer needs into practical tools and automation* Comfort operating in a multi-language, multi-platform environment across embedded and software systems* A bias toward reducing toil and enabling better security validation outcomes with less time and effortGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
