Job description

Overview

Bluewater Federal is looking for a DevSecOps Platform Lead to support the USAF at Maxwell AFB.

The Base Maintenance (BMx) Family of Systems program provides critical lifecycle support for enterprise U.S. Air Force logistics and maintenance systems that enable global mission readiness and sustainment operations.


Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of the BMx operational software factory and govern CI/CD architecture, deployment orchestration, release sequencing, environment management, automation services, infrastructure-as-code execution, and pipeline governance across all BMx systems.
  • Ensure sustainment, modernization, migration, cybersecurity, and release activities remain synchronized across cloud-native, legacy, and hybrid operational environments.
  • Coordinate directly with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, System Architects, Cybersecurity personnel, Independent Test Teams, Enterprise Integration personnel, and Cloud Engineers to manage pipeline promotion, release validation, deployment sequencing, rollback readiness, operational stabilization, and production deployment governance.
  • Govern automation tooling, artifact management, SBOM generation, release metrics, pipeline data collection, and DevSecOps-related CDRL execution.
  • Play a critical role in ensuring modernization activities do not disrupt operational maintenance, PMEL, or readiness workflows during release execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in technical discipline.
  • 10+ years DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD enterprise CI/CD environments.
  • Experience integrating RMF/security scanning into pipelines.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Maven, CI/CD orchestration, IaC, Containerization, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Release automation
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes/OpenShift or Security+ certifications are preferred
