Are you ready to join a world-class team at the forefront of technology and innovation? We're seeking a Product Security Engineer to advance hardware security validation efforts within the Boise Product Security laboratory. In this role, you will scale fault injection (FI) and side-channel analysis (SCA) testing, develop automation frameworks that improve lab efficiency and reproducibility, and collaborate with global teams to support Product Security across advanced memory technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Execute fault injection and side-channel analysis campaigns to validate security mitigations through hands-on experimentation and real-world attack scenarios

  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation frameworks for test execution using Python and C/C++, including structured data capture, analysis workflows, and task-based campaign orchestration

  • Set up and operate fault injection systems, test benches, and device-under-test (DUT) configurations; improve lab architecture by separating control systems and hardware interaction layers

  • Document lab procedures, calibration flows, and testing methodologies; standardize workstation setups and test execution processes to ensure reproducibility

  • Collaborate across global sites through regular Product Security lab meetings and support onboarding and knowledge transfer activities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in product firmware or embedded systems development (or equivalent academic/project experience)

  • Proven experience developing and executing fuzzing strategies for embedded firmware, drivers, APIs, and protocol interfaces, including harness creation, corpus generation, crash triage, and root-cause analysis of discovered vulnerabilities.

  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++

  • Strong foundation in Linux or similar operating systems

  • Understanding of computer architecture or embedded systems

  • Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to hardware security techniques such as fault injection, side-channel analysis, or reverse engineering

  • Experience with security tools (e.g., reverse engineering, network analysis, vulnerability scanning)

  • Embedded systems or FPGA experience

  • Familiarity with distributed systems or automation frameworks

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards
