Job description

Mission Systems Cybersecurity Engineer

The Opportunity:

Provide technicalexpertiseand guidance on the cybersecurity aspects of weapon systems and space systems. Work closely withotherBooz Allenprograms andstakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber threats and vulnerabilities affecting missionsuccessin all warfightingdomains. Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity solutions, mitigations, and best practices forweapon andspace systems. Conduct cyber threat analysis and mission-based cyber risk assessments forweapon andspace systems. Provide cybersecurity recommendations and solutions forweapon andspace systems, based on industry standards and best practices. Develop andmaintaincybersecurity documentation, including procedures, plans, reports, and briefings. Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners, including across Booz Allen, other government agencies, industry, and academia, on cybersecurity issues and initiatives related toweapon andspace systems. Provide cybersecurity training and awareness forclientsand other stakeholders. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats inall warfightingdomains.Conduct testing and analysis toidentifyvulnerabilities and potential threat vectors into systems and networks, develop exploits, and engineer attack methodologies.Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technicalexpertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, frameworks, standards, and best practices, including NIST, ISO, and CIS, and cybersecurity analysis, assessment, and mitigation for space systems and operations, using various tools and methods
  • Experience with weapon systems and operations, including theirarchitecture, functions, and vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of cyber threat actors, tactics, techniques, and procedures, and their implications for space systems and operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree inCybersecurity,IT, CS, or Engineering
  • Cybersecurity Certification such asSecurity+, CISM, CEH, or OSCPCertification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with cybersecurity in weapon systems or a related field
  • Experience working with a space defense team or government agencies on cybersecurity issues and initiatives related to space systems and operations
  • Experience developing and delivering cybersecurity training and awareness for space defense personnel and other stakeholders
  • Knowledgeof Zero Trust and artificial intelligence
  • TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
