Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Springfield, VA.

In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting mission-critical systems by identifying, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats in a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment. You will provide hands-on technical support, incident response leadership, and advanced analytical capabilities to ensure continuous mission success.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership and advanced Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) support, managing cyber and network sensor activities
  • Performing security event and incident correlation using information gathered from multiple enterprise sources
  • Conducting cyber incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact while identifying vulnerabilities and recommending timely remediation
  • Tracking cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolution and analyzing potential damage to data and infrastructure
  • Performing cyber engineering trend analysis, producing detailed reports, and supporting 24x7 mission operations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous monitoring and response readiness

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of additional cyber experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of cyber security experience in incident response and/or malware detection
  • Active IAT Level II certification (such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Working knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies and familiarity with database and operating system security concepts
  • Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active CNDSP-IR certification (such as GCIH, CSIH, or CEH)
  • Experience working within a Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) environment
  • Experience with COTS technologies used in Cybersecurity Engineering environments

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
