Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Architect - Cyber & Operational Technology (OT) Systems for a potential opportunity with deep expertise designing security architectures for both enterprise Information Technology (IT) and OT environments. The ideal candidate will understand how to balance mission performance, resilience, compliance and cost while recommending modern, secure and sustainable technical approaches. The Sr. Cybersecurity Architect - Cyber & OT Systems role partners with engineers, Risk Management Framework (RMF) staff and program leadership to align security design with contract and mission requirements. This is a unique opportunity to shape the growth, development and culture of an exciting and fast-growing company in the cybersecurity market. Employment for this position is dependent on the successful award of the contract.
What you'll be doing:
  • Develop and recommend cybersecurity architectures and strategies that effectively combine operational, administrative, procedural, technical and training measures.
  • Design, evaluate and recommend technical protections such as logging, access control, encryption, segmentation and defensive monitoring that effectively balance risk, cost and mission impact.
  • Support security architecture decisions for OT environments and high consequence systems to ensure mission systems perform to high standards for confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Conduct research and evaluation of new and emerging security technologies, recommending adoption and implementation approaches where appropriate.
  • Architect and support Disaster Recovery (DR), mission continuity and Continuity of Operations (COOP) solutions from a technical architecture perspective.
  • Contribute to security assessments, authorized defensive exercises and systematic evaluations of cybersecurity control effectiveness.
  • Partner with engineers, RMF staff and program leadership to evaluate capability or data coverage gaps and align security designs with contract requirements.

What you need to know:
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong experience in cybersecurity architecture across IT and ideally OT environments.
  • Familiarity with federal security requirements, control frameworks and architecture patterns for resilience.
  • Ability to assess technical tradeoffs involving risk, cost and mission impact.
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into practical implementation strategies.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to support architectural decisions and stakeholder understanding.

Must have's:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; a postgraduate degree from an accredited university may substitute for 6 years of experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
  • Applicants must currently be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance, in compliance with federal contract requirements.

  • Active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance.
