Columbia, MD | Full Time | TS with CI Poly Required

Position: Cyber Operator / Developer / Analyst (CODA) (Levels 5–7)

Location: Columbia, MD (on-site)

Clearance Requirement: Active TS with CI Poly. Active TS can be upgraded.

Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000

Description

We are seeking Cyber Operators / Developers / Analysts to support high-priority projects involving enterprise networks, telecommunications systems, and cyber operations. In this role, you will contribute to analysis, system evaluation, tool development, and operational execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with technical teams, analysts, and stakeholders to provide high-quality technical insight, develop workflows and tools, and support the execution of key cyber activities.

A degree in one of the following fields is applicable for level determination: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Operations, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Assurance, or Network Administration. Certain relevant technical certifications may be considered in lieu of an associate degree for certain levels.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess network infrastructure and computer systems.

  • Apply knowledge of enterprise network and telecommunications systems to support cyber operations.

  • Conduct network traffic analysis using standard tools and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, tcpdump, Wireshark).

  • Research, evaluate, and assist in the development of tools, technologies, and operational concepts.

  • Analyze scripts, binaries, and source code and contribute to tool documentation and technical reporting.

  • Support the planning and execution of project activities and help maintain procedures, tools, and workflows.

  • Identify technical risks and assist in developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary technical team.

Skills Requirements

  • Proficiency with Linux command-line interfaces.

  • Understanding of network design and architecture.

  • Extensive scripting experience (Bash, Python).

  • Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability.

  • Effective team collaboration and communication skills.

  • Experience with network protocols and network analysis tools.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of digital forensics and system artifact analysis.

  • Advanced network analysis experience.

  • Software tool development experience (C/C++).

  • Experience with Reverse Engineering of binaries.

  • Understanding of system administrator tools and procedures.

  • Experience in computer network defense and monitoring techniques.

Compensation Employment Policy

Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000 – $170,000 (annualized USD).
