Welding Inspector

Since 1983, Alabama Plate Cutting Company has been a trusted manufacturing partner serving fabricators, OEMs, and industrial customers throughout the Southeast. Operating from our 62,000-square-foot facility in Saginaw, Alabama, we produce approximately 60,000 precision parts each month using advanced laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC machining, forming, and robotic welding technology.

We're looking for an experienced Welding Inspector who takes pride in quality workmanship and ensuring every finished product meets customer specifications. If you have a strong welding background, enjoy working with precision measuring equipment, and have an eye for detail, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Inspect welded parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards

• Perform welding inspections using company and customer specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols

• Measure finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment

• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records

• Verify welding parameters and identify defects or nonconforming parts

• Work closely with production personnel to maintain quality standards

• Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of welding experience required

• Previous welding inspection experience preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience using precision measuring instruments

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred but not required
