Description

American Traveler is seeking an MFM Sonographer with OB/GYN registry and 2-3 years of high-risk OB experience for a 13-week contract in a Fetal Testing Center.

Details
  • Located in the Women's Tower of a hospital in Austin, TX, within a dedicated Fetal Testing Center
  • Unit features 6 exam rooms and a day-shift team of 2 RNs, 4-5 sonographers, 2 PCTs, and 2 office staff members
  • Procedures include fetal anatomy scans, BPP, Dopplers, fetal echocardiograms, first trimester nuchal screening, amniocentesis, and CVS
  • Equipment includes GE Voluson 22 and GE Voluson E10
  • EMR systems include Meditech, Viewpoint, and Sectra
  • Schedule is Mon–Thurs 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (or last patient seen) and Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (or last patient seen)
  • No call or weekend requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an MFM Sonographer, with 2-3 years of high-risk OB experience strongly preferred
  • OB/GYN registry (ARDMS or equivalent) required
  • Fetal echo experience or demonstrated ability to proficiently image fetal cardiac structures required
  • Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
  • Fetal Echo Registry preferred
  • Active license required if applicable
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two references)
  • Must have active experience within the last 6 months in this specialty
Additional Information
  • Perform high-risk obstetric ultrasound exams including fetal anatomy surveys, biophysical profiles, Doppler studies, fetal echocardiograms, nuchal translucency screenings, amniocentesis, and CVS procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented group setting is important for this role
  • Required scrub uniform is an olive green scrub top with black scrub bottoms
