This position is essential for promoting community pride and ensuring a safe environment for residents and visitors. Responsibilities include cutting grass, picking up litter, and cleaning city facilities, contributing to the overall quality of life in the community. Duties and Responsibilities The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary. Operates lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment to maintain grass and landscaped areas in city parks, public rights-of-way, and facilities. Assists in the planting, watering, and care of flowers, shrubs, and trees in public spaces. Conducts regular inspections of city grounds to identify and address maintenance needs. Performs routine cleaning and sanitization of city facilities, including restrooms, community centers, and public buildings. Ensures that all public areas, including sidewalks and parks, are free from litter and debris. Maintains cleanliness of equipment and tools used for grounds and facility maintenance.
