A successful CTL operation does not come down to one machine or one person. It depends on people, equipment, planning, customers, transportation, maintenance, and hundreds of decisions coming together every day. The CTL Project Manager is the person who helps connect those pieces.

We are looking for a hands-on forestry leader who understands that strong operations are built through people, planning, accountability, and execution.

You are someone who can take a plan on paper and turn it into safe, productive work in the field. You are comfortable making decisions, solving problems, coordinating multiple moving pieces, and communicating with everyone from equipment operators and mechanics to landowners and company leadership.

As a CTL Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate assigned forestry operations from planning through execution. Your work will include:

• Oversee the daily performance and success of assigned harvesting teams
• Coordinate Harvester, Forwarder, loading, trucking, maintenance, and other field resources
• Create clarity around priorities, expectations, and changing operating conditions
• Identify and address safety, production, people, or equipment issues before they become larger problems

• Conduct reconnaissance of timber units and help develop operational plans
• Work with landowners and internal teams on short- and long-term harvesting plans
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, transportation, and other resources across projects
• Support contract, proposal, and project-planning activities as needed

• Monitor harvesting, Forwarding, loading, trucking, and overall production flow
• Ensure daily production information is accurate and communicated
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to support equipment uptime and preventive maintenance
• Adjust plans and resources as conditions, equipment, or project needs change

• Work with operational and financial leadership to understand and improve the performance of assigned teams
• Monitor productivity, resource utilization, schedules, and other operating results
• Review and approve employee time and required operating documentation
• Take ownership for the execution and performance of assigned projects

• Build strong relationships with landowners, customers, agencies, contractors, and other partners
• Participate in project visits, tours, meetings, and other field activities
• Support new project and market opportunities
• Work collaboratively with other Project Managers and Miller leaders across operations
• Support wildland firefighting operations when required and maintain applicable qualifications

You will work closely with equipment operators, mechanics, truck drivers, foresters, Project Managers, administrative teams, and Miller leadership. You will also interact with landowners, customers, contractors, state and federal agencies, and other partners involved in the work.

This role sits at the center of the operation. Your ability to communicate, coordinate, solve problems, and create clarity directly affects the people, equipment, customers, and financial results of the projects you lead.

We are looking for:

• Experience in forestry, logging, project management, or a related operational environment
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing field environment
• Working knowledge of forestry operations, logging, equipment, or related industries
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and basic reporting systems
• Ability and willingness to travel for multi-day assignments
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• A bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience and demonstrated capability are equally important.
• Experience with CTL operations, timber harvesting, logistics, or wildland fire is strongly preferred.

The salary range for this position is dependent on experience.

This is a full-time field leadership position and requires flexibility based on project and operational needs. The role will routinely involve early starts, extended workdays, travel, and occasional weekend or holiday work. Approximately 50+ hours per week may be required during active project periods.
