Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented, and proactive Director of Traffic for its Regina, SK location. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing and managing all transportation activities across the Brandt Group of Companies, including both inbound and outbound traffic.

The Director of Traffic will champion continuous improvement initiatives and develop strategies, processes, and procedures that optimize transportation spend while achieving cost and service-level targets. A key priority of this role is ensuring that all operations utilize the most efficient shipping modes to support organizational goals and operational excellence.

 What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Guiding the Traffic Team in the daily efforts of ensuring the timely cost-effective movement of raw materials/equipment inbound and finished goods outbound
  • Develop, support, and manage a knowledgeable and effective team
  • Communicating and working with multiple Brandt departments to ensure clear information and understanding of all traffic requirements are exchanged internally and with our Suppliers and Carrier partners
  • Managing and oversee the monitoring of all Carrier partners
  • Reviewing and assisting negotiating rates for both National and International freight services
  • Working closely with Purchasing and Customs to ensure compliance with all Federal and International requirements
  • Organizing training within the Traffic department and any other Brandt Divisions to ensure all rules and regulations that may have an effect on our operations are understood and followed
  • Overseeing Freight payment, auditing, and accruals processes. Manage freight payment process to support carrier payment process and work with financial teams to understand, explain, and project cost variances, and support accrual processes.
  • Leveraging data for reporting, projects, decision-making, and performance management
  • Loss prevention and freight claims process – identify risks and mitigate exposure - process, track, and resolve claims
  • Perform other duties as required.

  What We Look For

  •  BS degree in logistics, distribution, engineering, industrial management, or a similar field required
  •  5+ years of work experience in leadership roles within transportation and logistic
  • In-depth experience with various transportation modes including Parcel, TL, and LTL, especially as it relates to heavy hauls
  • International experience with ocean and air shipping
  • Experience with ERP systems (Baan, other)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and exceptional analytics skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • High proficiency with logistics support software such as TMS
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, make decisions, and take appropriate actions under pressure\
  • Knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations governing both Traffic functions and Customs requirements.
