As a Shuttle Driver, you will be integral to our operations by transporting empty trailers to various warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to designated shuttle yard locations.

Your responsibilities will include operating tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes. You will ensure the safe and timely delivery of full trailers containing various products, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will also engage professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues, ensuring that inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately. Team collaboration within the department and organization is essential, and you will perform any assigned duties to support the company effectively.

• Conduct all necessary safety checks (e.g., pre/post trip) and inspect vehicles and trailers to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards, taking appropriate actions as needed.
• Report any safety concerns or required repairs.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving policies, promptly reporting any safety hazards.
• Inspect trailers to confirm that freight is loaded and secured properly.
• Ensure all required documentation is present with the tractor-trailer load at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to a predetermined route schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures following safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractor-trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure that all equipment and freight are securely locked and stored.
• Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers for return to the base facility, completing necessary paperwork.
• Unload equipment and materials, and remove trash from trailers as needed.
• Maintain a daily record of hours of service and log entries in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company regulations.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clean and organized.
• Carry out other related tasks as assigned.

• Minimum of 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Meet all state licensing and certification requirements (if applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
• Availability for a 3rd shift schedule, Sunday to Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Successfully complete a road test.
• Hold a valid DOT Health Card or be able to obtain one.
• Capable of lifting and using equipment such as a two-wheeler, lift gate, and other tools to move and stack product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights, typically ranging from 60 to 90 pounds.
