Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin. We have been awarded "Top Workplace" by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years in a row. Here is a snapshot of the duties you can expect:


SCOPE OF POSITION: Reporting directly to the Produce Department Manager performs varied supportive produce functions in an efficient and timely manner.


BASIC FUNCTION: Performs duties necessary to ensure department products are received, displayed, faced and pulled per department requirements. Assists customers in a friendly and outgoing manner.



Position Specific Requirements:


  1. Previous experience working with produce desired.
  2. Able to perform Produce Operations, practices and procedures within a retail grocery environment.
  3. Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
  4. Good attention to detail and follow through skills.
  5. Good customer relations' skills.
  6. Be able to meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.
  7. Works efficiently with weights, measures, scales and tally unit product retail prices
  8. Do basic PC entries required for this position.
  9. Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner. (Must be 18 years of age to operate certain department equipment.)
  10. Work hours required. This includes flexible shift schedules, overtime and weekends required.
  11. Work in physical environment and meet physical requirements.
  12. Meet and maintain job productivity, attendance, punctuality, safety requirements and wear safety attire.


EQUIPMENT/TOOLS OPERATED: Proficient skill in operation of standard department equipment, which includes scales, handcarts, side cutters to open crates, knives to cut product, pineapple coring machine and sanitizing equipment.
