Summary:

Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative will be responding to customer inquiries regarding company products and services, processing customer phone orders, checking availability of stock and shipping dates, quoting prices, filling order to customer specifications and processing sales data via computer, assisting the outside sales team by preparing price quotes and sourcing products.

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include but not limited to:

  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding company products and services
  • Processing customer phone and email orders
  • Checking availability of stock and shipping dates, following up with vendor purchase orders to fulfill sales orders
  • Quoting prices, filling order to customer specifications and processing sales data via computer
  • Assisting the outside sales team by preparing price quotes, sourcing products and processing orders.
  • Accurate order processing
  • Review and recover freight dollars on all orders.
  • Provide timely confirmations (invoicing) of all shipped Pick tickets.

Qualifications of the Customer Service Representative include but are not limited to:

  • 2-3 years of work experience with industrial distribution, preferably Pump Parts, Bearing & Power Transmission products, and/or MRO supplies preferred
  • 3+ years of administrative office experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Should be enthusiastic and able to work independently
  • Must have experience performing a majority of the functions
  • Prior inside sales/customer service experience
  • Data entry skills, organization, multi-tasking and customer focus is required
  • Regular in-person attendance required
