Overview
The Senior Operations Manager supports the Project Manager in overseeing back-of-the-house (BOH) food service operations, including food supply procurement, warehousing, preparation, and inventory management. This role is responsible for managing processes and duties as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) or other contractual requirements for food service operations at a federal worksite. The position ensures consistent delivery of high-quality customer service and requires a strong working knowledge of, and willingness to learn, all aspects of the operation.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in food service management or related field.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience supervising or leading teams.
  • Must hold current ServSafe Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with residents, healthcare staff, and administrative personnel in support of contracted food service operations within a continuing care residential facility.
  • Proficient in intermediate-level computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both written and verbal communication in a professional environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence, maintain a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under company policy.
  • Must meet all eligibility requirements for assignment to the specified federal contract(s).
  • Ability to successfully pass all organizational screening requirements, including applicable state and federal background checks

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $70,896.00-$82,290.00.
Physical Requirements
May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. Will work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change.
While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, and lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to assist in lifting equipment and move furniture when necessary; will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
