Job description

Customer Service Representative
PSC Group is now hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, advanced computer skills in all facets, and demonstrates the ability to multi-task in a chemical plant environment
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Communicate directly with shippers (customers sending products to the rail terminal via railcar).
    • Work in an industrial environment
    • Process customer orders using various computer inventory systems and complete all necessary paperwork.
    • Create and manage a daily load schedule
    • Schedule motor carriers
    • Verify work instructions via customer data sheets
    • Red tag railcars if necessary
    • Verify that motor carrier drivers are entered into the INA system prior to loading.
    • Ensure proper weights of loads are met before releasing drivers and verify bill of laden
    • Oversee that loaders are taking necessary customer samples and entering those samples into the inventory management system.

Job Qualifications:
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP is preferred
    • Prior experience working in a chemical plant, industrial or manufacturing work environment is a plus, but not required
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
    • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
    • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
    • Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
    • Speak, write, read fluent English
    • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
    • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
