Title: Project Manager (On-Site)

Location: Tallahassee, FL 32301 || Duration: Long-Term

Required Skills and Experience

* 7+ years of project management experience.
* Experience managing large-scale software implementation projects.
* Experience managing multiple projects or programs, Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.
* Experience documenting technical and business requirement specifications.

Preferred Skills and Experience

* Ability to act as the primary Project Manager for the Transparency Tool project. Works with the PMO Manager to determine and distribute assignments.
* Possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
* Understands complex web-based computer applications and has the ability to guide programming staff through projects.
* Ability to document business and technical requirements and processes that can be understood and used by other technical staff.
* Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

* Understanding business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions.
* Coordinating, status reporting and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
* Establishing and implementing project management processes and methodologies for IT staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
* Assembling project plans, creating, and managing teamwork assignments. Directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
* Coordinating tests for the developed objects / processes.
* Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
* Creates and executes unit test plans and test cases. Assists the client with acceptance testing prior to production implementation.
* Ensuring compliance to standards through code walkthroughs and metadata reports.
* Understanding and following source code promotion processes.

Education

* Bachelors Degree in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Certification

* Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
* Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required.
