our people. We are looking for a customer service oriented professional to join our team as a Roofing Superintendent. If you are
highly motivated, a team player with integrity and quality work ethic we want you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing one to two roofing crews, including directing the work of roofing crews at job sites, administering disciplinary action as appropriate, making decisions related to pay and hours of work, as well as coordinating with your supervisor to make decisions related to hiring and firing subordinate employees on those roofing crews;
  • Evaluating and managing the performance of subordinate employees;
  • Training subordinate employees;
  • Ensuring all work performed by roofing crews meets or exceed industry standards;
  • Ensuring all work complies with federal, state, and local laws, including code requirements;
  • Ensuring communication and coordination between the office and each job site to which you are assigned; 
  • Updating job progress and workflow in Covenant’s CRM system; 
  • Reviewing and managing work in progress to ensure that schedules are being maintained;
  • Exercising discretion and judgment to make decisions necessary to keep production flowing;
  • Maintaining communication with homeowners throughout roofing projects and keeping them apprised of any changes to the original scope of work; 
  • Collecting payment at completion of each project;
  • Occasionally completing hands-on portions of work at job sites as needed to facilitate projects; and
  • Other duties as determined by Covenant.

Skills, Qualifications, and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lead and manage roofing crews; 
  • Reliable and able to work well under pressure;
  • Highly organized and detail oriented;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to climb a ladder unassisted;
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds overhead unassisted;
  • Ability to safely walk a sloped roof unassisted;
  • Ability to operate a truck while hauling a trailer, as well as back in a trailer and dump a trailer after completion of project; 
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening; 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; 
  • Technological skill sufficient to operate Covenant’s CRM program on computer, tablet, or other device provided by Covenant; and
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years in construction trade; and
  • Experience managing and supervising subordinate employees.
