Job Summary
The Student Affairs Enrollment Guide will assist current and prospective students, parents, faculty, and staff in regards to all areas of enrollment affairs. The Student Affairs Enrollment Guide will answer questions in the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, and Student Affairs questions from all levels of media, not limited to email, text, chat, phone, and in person. The Student Affairs Enrollment Guide will be expected to quickly and efficiently determine the needs and give holistic responses in regards to the enrollment process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Effectively communicate with current and prospective students as front-line employees by helping with their decision making and educational needs.
  • Work directly with students' other departments through different media platforms to answer questions regarding Financial Aid, Registration, CTE Programs, Majos/ Pathways, scholarship as well as payment options.
  • Access and update student files including their contact information, placement status, change of major, student file, current application status, and any additional requested information including but not limited to Admissions, Advising-including programs
  • Outreach and communicate regularly to Promise Program Counselors; Promise Program students, potential promise students, and their parents by hosting application workshops, FAFSA events and/ or information sessions.
  • Receive and process documents submitted by current and prospective students and apply them to the correct accounts.
  • Communicate and build relationships with schools and school districts
  • Appropriately process and document individual students' residency documents on a case by case basis to determine proper tuition status
  • Receive and review SAT, ACT, previous coursework, TSI, and other supporting documentation to determine a students TSI status or possible exemption.
  • Demonstrate how to successfully complete a FAFSA application for students. Review and give proper information that informs students how to accept/decline aid.
  • Access and update student files including their contact information, placement status, change of major, student file, current application status, and any additional requested information including but not limited to Admissions, Advising-including programs offered, Financial Aid, Adult Continuing Education, scholarships, payment options.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties can change based on the need of the department and the college.
Required Education
Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications
  • Ability to multitask and manage assignments with deadlines
  • Ability to act in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain a neat/clean professional appearance
  • Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to work under pressure during times of heavy workloads and short time lines
  • Knowledge of College and departmental policies, procedures, safety, and regulations
Preferred Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Jenzabar EX student information system
  • Knowledge of Canvas system

Required Experience
1 year of experience in administrative support, customer services, or related field.
Preferred Experience
One year minimum experience in any of the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Recruitment and/or Advising preferred
