The Enrollment Associate is responsible for assisting with the enrollment process. They support the onboarding of new members by collecting and verifying enrollment data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. The associate may communicate with applicants to gather missing information, answer inquiries, and provide guidance throughout the enrollment process. They collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and track enrollment activities, maintaining documentation and records. The Enrollment Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient enrollment experience for individuals joining the plan.

Functions & Job Responsibilities

  • Responding to internal and external customer inquiries
  • Addressing and resolving issues, questions and/or concerns regarding enrollment through claims, call tracking, or e-mail.
  • Creating and maintaining records in the eligibility transactional system
  • Entering enrollment applications into the company's database system
  • Process enrollment and dis-enrollments
  • Verify enrollment status with clients
  • Research and resolve enrollment system rejections.
  • Works with colleagues to resolve exceptions and takes appropriate action to ensure members are properly enrolled.
  • Maintain records in the enrollment database.
  • Manage and maintain member eligibility change data
  • Conducts daily and monthly reconciliation of files
  • Verifies accuracy of entered data against sourced documents
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One (1) to three (3) years' experience in Medicare Managed Care Preferred
  • One (1) year experience with data entry and use of Microsoft Office

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Medicare guidelines a plus
  • Must be well-organized and detail orientated.
  • Professional demeanor, with strong and excellent customer service skills.
  • Fast-learner
  • Ability to work in multiple computer systems
  • Ability to enter and retrieve data using standardized keyboard functions
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures or government regulations
  • Ability to write basic correspondence and perform basic arithmetic
  • Adaptability to change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and World
  • Strong data entry skills (55 wpm preferred)

Wage Range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour

Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be able to travel when needed or required
  • Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone and perform repetitive motion (keyboard); writing (note-taking)
  • Ability to sit for long periods; stand, sit, reach, bend, lift up to fifteen (15) lbs.

Ability to express or exchange ideas to impart information to the public and to convey detailed instructions to staff accurately and quickly.

Work is performed in an office environment and/or remotely. The job involves frequent contact with staff and public. May occasionally be required to work irregular hours based on the needs of the business.
