  • EnterpriseScale Impact - Support millions of customers and longlived operational systems in a complex, regulated environment

  • Define canonical customer entities, identifiers, hierarchies, and relationships across CRM, billing, CIS, and downstream systems
  • Govern model evolution to support new business capabilities while preventing redundancy and fragmentation
  • Resolve semantic conflicts and enforce consistent customer definitions enterprisewide

Data Product Leadership

  • Own customercentric data products including curated datasets, views, and domain data assets
  • Define and maintain data product contracts (schemas, SLAs, quality rules, access patterns, and usage expectations)
  • Partner with engineering and analytics teams to ensure data products are productionready, discoverable, and reusable
  • Design customer data products to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases

Architecture & Platform Alignment

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise data platform standards (lakehouse, catalogs, governance frameworks)
  • Guide ingestion, transformation, and persistence patterns to preserve model integrity and performance
  • Collaborate with application, integration, and analytics architects to embed consistent customer data across solutions
  • Participate in architecture governance forums and provide clear recommendations and rationale

Governance, Quality & Enablement

  • Define and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and stewardship processes
  • Partner with data governance teams on metadata, lineage, classification, and access controls
  • Enable downstream teams through clear documentation, diagrams, and reference models
  • Act as a subjectmatter expert for customer data during design reviews and delivery engagements

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture or advanced data modeling roles
  • Deep expertise in conceptual, logical, canonical, and physical data modeling (3NF, dimensional, hybrid)
  • Proven experience owning and evolving a core enterprise domain model (Customer, Party, Account, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of dataasaproduct principles including ownership, contracts, and lifecycle management
  • Handson experience with modern data platforms (cloud, lakehouse, data catalogs)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex models to technical and nontechnical audiences

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-wide initiatives within large, complex, highly matrixed organizations, with the ability to navigate governance, compliance, and cross-functional stakeholder environments while driving successful outcomes across high-volume, multi-system landscapes that impact broad user populations at scale (utilities, finance, healthcare, telecommunications)
  • Background in customer master data management, identity resolution, or crosssystem harmonization
  • Experience supporting analytics and AI/ML use cases with highquality, wellmodeled data
  • Exposure to AWSnative architectures and Databricksbased data platforms

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Advanced data architecture or cloud certifications are a plus
