Description
Job Title: Welding Fabricator
Job Summary:
The Welding Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, welding, and assembly of aluminum and stainless steel components, specifically for fuel tank instrument panels and other specialized projects that require advanced fabrication skills. The role includes performing precise welding in various positions and assisting with complex fabrication tasks such as assembling and welding custom panels, parts, and fixtures. This position requires expertise in MIG and TIG welding, along with a solid understanding of fabrication processes to meet project specifications and quality standards.
Position Qualifications/Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment
  • At least 3 years of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring materials
  • At least 1 year of experience with specialized welding techniques for custom and complex projects
  • At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Fabrication experience, including the ability to cut, shape, and assemble custom parts

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with fuel tank instrument panels or similar specialized projects is a plus
  • Forklift certification
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills

Core Duties:
  • Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
  • Examine welds for bead size and other specifications, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Assist with the fabrication and assembly of fuel tank instrument panels and other custom parts or assemblies
  • Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes as required
  • Position, clamp, and assemble workpieces using jigs or fixtures for welding
  • Select appropriate torch, tip, filler rod, and flux based on material type and thickness
  • Assist in the design and fabrication of custom solutions for special projects
  • Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on welding equipment and tools
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
  • Other Duties as assigned

Hours:
  • 1st shift position
  • Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Overtime as needed

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
