Job description

Sanderson Ford in Glendale, AZ is looking for a Ford Certified Service Technician with hands-on experience in custom vehicle builds and performance modifications to join a shop with 70 years of history serving the Phoenix area. This role goes beyond standard repair work, with a focus on suspension modifications, engine upgrades, tuning, and accessories, alongside core diagnostic and warranty work. What You'll Do
  • Perform custom vehicle work including suspension modifications, bolt-on accessories, wheel and tire installations, computer tuners, and engine upgrades such as superchargers and exhaust systems
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems accurately and efficiently per repair order specifications
  • Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to verify component and system performance
  • Communicate with the Service Advisor on additional service needs and provide accurate time estimates for repairs
  • Execute warranty repairs in compliance with Ford manufacturer specifications
  • Inspect vehicles and document all findings clearly on repair orders
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of service technician experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with performance and custom vehicle modifications, including suspension work, engine upgrades, tuning, and accessories
  • B-level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
  • Prior experience at a Ford dealership preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and the dexterity required for precision repair work
  • Basic computer competency and the ability to learn new repair procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
