Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated licensed Architect to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in the design, documentation, coordination, and successful delivery of architectural projects from initial concept through construction.


The ideal candidate combines strong architectural design and technical expertise with the ability to independently lead projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with clients, and mentor junior staff. Experience with both residential and commercial projects is highly valued.


Key Responsibilities


Architecture & Project Leadership

  • Lead architectural projects from initial design and programming through construction documentation and completion.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Coordinate architectural work with structural, MEP, civil, and other disciplines.
  • Identify and resolve design, coordination, constructability, and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.


Design & Technical Expertise

  • Develop and refine architectural concepts that balance design, functionality, constructability, and client objectives.
  • Lead and oversee the production of construction documents, specifications, details, and technical drawings.
  • Perform code analysis and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, and regulations.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, coordination, completeness, and quality.
  • Prepare or coordinate project manuals and specifications as required.
  • Assist with bidding and contractor coordination when required.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and other construction administration documentation.
  • Support projects through construction, closeout, and final completion.


Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead and mentor designers, architectural staff, and junior team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and help develop the skills and capabilities of the architectural team.
  • Participate in internal design, technical, and quality-control reviews.
  • Delegate and coordinate project tasks to maintain efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Help advance company standards, processes, documentation, and architectural best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
  • Active architectural license required.
  • 6+ years of professional experience as an architect preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently lead and successfully deliver architectural projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, building codes, construction methods, detailing, and construction administration.
  • Proficiency in Revit; experience with SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
