Role Summary:

Kiln is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Install Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that all custom-built elements and FF&E installations are completed with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling and installing furniture, leading installation teams, working with various materials, and reading technical drawings. This position requires strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Willingness and ability to travel 75%-100% of the time for installations and project execution.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the installation of Kiln Series items, general FF&E, and other custom-built elements according to specifications.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise installation team members to ensure high standards of work.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and composite materials to create custom kiln series elements.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation guides.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards and community expectations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the installation process.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent Kiln with professionalism.
  • Contribute to installation schedules and coordination of logistics to meet project deadlines.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of Kiln sites.


Ideal Experience and Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in furniture installation, millwork, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading an installation team.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and furniture.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
