Responsibilities
What we expect
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Assisting the Lead Project Scheduler in developing and maintaining the project schedule. It will be their duty to work with the Lead Project Scheduler, Site Management, and Project Management teams to plan and sequence work relative to the project schedule while maintaining frequent communication with the Lead Project Scheduler, project team, and trade partners.
  • The candidate will work with the Lead Project Scheduler to evaluate construction sequencing, help the project team plan efficient workflows, assist in planning and sequencing work relative to the project schedule, assist with the assessment of project schedules to identify and mitigate scheduling conflicts and compression and assist in reviewing schedules from a safety perspective, helping to identifying potential safety concerns and incorporating mitigation points where applicable.
  • The candidate will also work with the Lead Project Scheduler and the project team to review two-to-three-week lookahead schedules for accuracy and construction sequencing, to evaluate and communicate construction critical path(s) to the project team, trader partners, and the Customer, and to help evaluate and communicate the impact of Customer decisions, design delays, and trade partner progress on the project schedule to mitigate critical path delays and prepare time impact analyses (TIAs) as required.
  • This candidate must always be looking for opportunities to learn and develop new skills to enhance project schedule performance, lead by example, and adhere to Gray's policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of construction experience.
  • Should possess a basic understanding of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes of work, as well as a basic understanding of the design process relative to the project schedule.
  • Have a basic understanding of project administration, including the submittal process, document control requirements, and change management.
  • Possess an ability to understand and utilize schedule software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, and schedule principles such as schedule logic, predecessors, successors, and float.
  • Should be able to assist in project schedule development and progress updating in collaboration with the site team and trade partners to meet key milestones.
  • Should be able to assist in preparing schedule update narratives and reports and assist in developing construction sequencing to help the project team plan efficient workflows.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100K to 130K.
