Job description

Prepares inks for use by press operator
1.Reviews daily list to determine necessary ink quantities needed for production.
2.Obtains ink from inventory and uses dispenser or hand weighs inks to obtain proper quantities.
3.Makes custom inks from formulas in database.
4.Performs color-matching and toning for new jobs. Completes drawdowns.
5.Assists press operators resolve ink related issues on press.
6.Maintains and cleans equipment including scales, pumps, etc.
7.Replenishes common inks in ink dispensing unit.
8.Maintains files and records.
9.Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with housekeeping and safety requirements.
10.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1.Good mechanical aptitude.
2.Good mathematical aptitude.
3.Able to read, write and speak English.
4.Team player, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5.Must be punctual, self-directed task completion, have good interpersonal skills and professionalism to interface with all departments.
6.Must work normal shift hours and overtime as required.
7.High School education.
8.Prior related experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1.Ability to routinely lift up to 15 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
2.Normal vision and color discrimination ability
3.Ability to stand for up to 8 consecutive hours.
