Job description

PRST- PeopleReady Skilled Trades is hiring for  Custom Home Finish Carpenters to join our team. This role focuses on detailed, precision craftsmanship on a luxury home in the Hillsboro, Oregon area. The ideal candidate has a passion for architectural detail, and eye for quality, and the ability to deliver impeccable finishes that meet the expectations of the homeowner, designers, and architects. In this High-end Finish Carpenter role, you’ll earn $32-$35 per hour DOE, and enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits, a flexible work schedule, and referral programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Install high-end residential finishes including Custom trim, baseboards, window/ door casings, crown molding, cabinetry, built-ins, paneling, wall treatments, stair components, and specialty millwork
  • Interpret architectural plans, designer specifications, and finish schedules with minimal supervision
  • Perform precise measurements, layout, and cutting custom installations
  • Use of a variety of hand and power tools to create flawless finish details
  • Ensure all work meets the highest quality, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Collaborate closely with the site supervisors, designers, and other trades to maintain project timelines and design intent
  • Construct Hemlock ceiling work inside and outside. Including soffits
  • Follow safety practices at all times

  • Be at least 18+ years of age. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US
  • Must have 5+ years experience in High-end Custom home residential finish / trim carpentry 
  • Expert-level knowledge of finish carpentry techniques, joinery, and high-end materials
  • Experience working with millwork, hardwoods, exotic woods, and premium finishes
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a complex, detail-rich environment
  • Experience installing luxury cabinetry and custom built-ins preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs in order to load and unload wood and other materials
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
