Job description

At Jim White Lexus of Toledo, you can expect to work on a team of dedicated professionals. Our Service Department is expanding and we are looking to hire an Automotive Service Technician.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify customer concerns 
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
  • Complete basic maintenance, fluid exchanges, wheel alignments, mount and balance tires and brake replacement 
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Continuously participates in ongoing education opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • ASE certified is a plus
  • 3 + years’ experience working as an Automotive Tech
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Clean and valid driver’s license
  • Must have own tools and tool box
