Job description

Ophthalmic Tech| Tulsa, OK

Monday - Friday | 8am - 5pm | Temp to Hire |$15-$19hr


Responsibilities:

The Ophthalmic Tech will provide direct patient care under the guidance of the Ophthalmologist, obtain prior authorizations for surgery, schedule cataract surgery procedures twice per week at the ambulatory surgery center, and more.


Qualifications:

  • Work experience as an Ophthalmic Technician strongly preferred.
  • Conduct visual field tests to measure field of vision.
  • Measure corneal curvature with keratometers or ophthalmometers to aid in the diagnosis of conditions, such as astigmatism.
  • Conduct ocular motility tests to measure function of eye muscles.
  • Take anatomical or functional ocular measurements of the eye or surrounding tissue, such as axial length measurements.
  • Measure visual acuity, including near, distance, pinhole, or dynamic visual acuity, using appropriate tests.
