What is a cursive writer?

Cursive writers are individuals who write using cursive handwriting, a style of penmanship where letters are connected in a flowing manner. This technique is often taught in schools to help students write more quickly and efficiently. Cursive writing is valued for its aesthetic appeal and is sometimes used for signatures, formal documents, or artistic projects. In some contexts, 'cursive' may also refer to professionals who teach or specialize in cursive handwriting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a cursive handwriting instructor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Cursive Handwriting Instructor, you need expertise in penmanship techniques, a background in education or teaching, and familiarity with handwriting pedagogy. Knowledge of educational tools like handwriting workbooks, visual aids, and digital platforms for remote instruction is often required. Patience, clear communication, and the ability to motivate and engage students are standout soft skills in this role. These competencies are vital for effectively teaching cursive writing, fostering students’ confidence, and supporting overall literacy development.

What are some common challenges faced by cursive handwriting instructors and how can they overcome them?

Cursive Handwriting Instructors often encounter challenges such as engaging students who may lack interest or confidence in cursive writing, and adapting teaching methods to suit varying learning speeds. To overcome these, instructors can incorporate creative activities, provide individualized feedback, and use positive reinforcement to boost motivation. Additionally, collaborating with other educators for interdisciplinary lessons can help highlight the practical benefits of cursive, making learning more relevant and enjoyable for students.

We are expanding our crew of awesome writers to help out when demand is high, and we are looking for a few different qualities. Do you still hand write your notes, grocery lists, and other items? Are you interested in accurately transcribing digital text to handwritten letters? If so, we have a job for you!
We're MailLift - the handwritten letter company, and we've found a way to make old new again. We provide high-touch, personalized campaigns for our clients through handwritten letters.
We currently have an amazing crew of writers, but our company is growing quickly and we need writers to expand the family to help when we have high demand.
If you're just looking to clock hours, this job is NOT for you! We are interested in hiring people who want to help our company succeed by filling this critical role.

We're also looking for someone who is self-directed and can work independently but also works well as part of our team. Comfort with deadlines, time-management, and task organization skills are also very important to us.
Due to the nature of the job, this is a part-time position only. We can schedule handwriters for a maximum of 4 hours per day because you're hand will get tired. However, we offer a truly flexible schedule; the only non-negotiable is that you have the ability to get here -- this is an in-office position only.
"But my handwriting isn't perfect!" -- everyone who has ever applied
We aren't looking for the prettiest or most perfect handwriting. All we need from you is legible, natural handwriting and a working knowledge of English spelling and grammar rules. We get requests for a variety of styles, including - male sloppy, cursive, all caps, business casual, bubbly...the list goes on and on.
Be creative, be casual, be formal, just be yourself!
