Nursing curriculum developers ensure that the curriculum meets accreditation standards and addresses the current needs of healthcare. They also incorporate evidence-based practices and adapt to advancements in nursing and healthcare technologies.

A common challenge in curriculum development for nursing is ensuring that the program remains current with rapidly evolving healthcare standards and technologies. Additionally, balancing theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on clinical experience can be difficult due to limited resources or placement opportunities.
