What You Will Be Doing

The Communications Manager writes and distributes a wide variety of communications across the organization, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with company standards. This role is responsible for producing content ranging from resort operations newsletters and internal corporate communications to press releases, website content, and board communications. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and project manager who can adapt tone and format across audiences, manage multiple deadlines, and serve as a trusted voice for the organization.

Resort & Operations Communications
  • Write, edit, and distribute resort operations newsletters and other recurring communications to resort teams and stakeholders.
  • Partner with operations leaders to gather updates, announcements, and key information to keep resort teams informed and aligned.
  • Maintain a consistent publishing calendar and distribution process for operational communications.
Internal Corporate Communications
  • Draft and distribute internal corporate communications, including company announcements, leadership updates, and employee-facing content.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to communicate company news, policy updates, and organizational changes clearly and effectively.
  • Help maintain a consistent voice and brand across all internal communications channels.
External & Media Communications
  • Write and distribute press releases and other external communications, coordinating with leadership and, as needed, external PR partners.
  • Respond to media and external inquiries as directed, ensuring messaging is accurate and on-brand.
  • Support crisis or sensitive communications as needed, ensuring timely and appropriate messaging.
Website & Digital Content
  • Write, edit, and update website content to ensure information is accurate, current, and aligned with brand voice.
  • Partner with web and marketing teams to publish and maintain content across company websites and digital properties.
  • Review and proofread digital content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy prior to publishing.
Board & Executive Communications
  • Prepare board communications and materials, including updates, reports, and presentations, in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Ensure board and executive communications are polished, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive or executive-level information.
Collaboration & Process
  • Partner with leadership, HR, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to gather information and ensure communications are accurate and timely.
  • Manage multiple communication projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing based on business needs.
  • Maintain communication templates, style guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or agencies (e.g., design, PR, printing) as needed to support communication deliverables.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style across audiences and formats.
  • Experience writing press releases, newsletters, internal communications, and website content.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information, including board-level communications.
  • Experience in the timeshare, vacation ownership, hospitality, or travel industry is a plus.
