What is the highest paying project manager job?

Senior project management roles such as Program Manager, Portfolio Manager, or Director of Project Management tend to be the highest paying positions, often earning six-figure salaries. These roles typically require extensive experience, advanced certifications like PMP or PgMP, and oversight of large or complex projects across industries like technology, construction, or finance.

Are project managers in demand right now?

Project managers are currently in high demand across many industries due to ongoing organizational initiatives and the need for effective project execution. Strong skills in leadership, communication, and project management tools like MS Project or Agile methodologies enhance job prospects. The role often requires relevant certifications such as PMP or CAPM.

What are the 4 types of project managers?

In project management, four common types of project managers are functional, projectized, matrix, and hybrid. Functional managers work within specific departments, projectized managers lead entire projects independently, matrix managers operate across departments with shared authority, and hybrid managers combine elements of these styles based on project needs. Understanding these types helps in selecting the right management approach and tools for successful project delivery.

Who earns more, BA or PM?

In general, project managers (PMs) tend to earn higher salaries than business analysts (BAs) due to their greater responsibility for project delivery and leadership. Salaries for both roles vary by industry, experience, and location, but PMs often have higher earning potential, especially with certifications like PMP or Prince2. Business analysts focus on requirements gathering and analysis, while project managers oversee project execution, which can influence salary differences.

Build Your Future with EKA Build. Creating Homes that Perform and Endure

EKA Build is a custom home design-build firm specializing in creating high-quality, high-performance homes across Northeast Ohio. We believe in precision craftsmanship and intentional design, ensuring that each home we build is crafted to stand the test of time. As a faith-based company, we are committed to building with integrity, stewardship, and a servant mindset, making every project not just a house, but a home for life.

EKA Build is seeking a Project Manager to assist in managing and overseeing the construction of tight, high-performance homes. This role is a hybrid of field supervision, quality control, and technical expertise with an emphasis on building science. The position will start part-time and could quickly evolve into a full-time role as the individual grows into the responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, a curiosity for technical aspects, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Oversight & Trade Coordination:
  • Run subcontractor meetings and ensure trades understand expectations.
  • Coordinate trades and ensure proper sequencing.
  • Stop work if standards are not met and ensure quality control throughout.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect work before the next trade begins, ensuring critical details (air sealing, framing alignment, etc.) meet EKA Build standards.
  • Ensure high-end finishes (cabinet alignment, countertops, wall finishes) meet required quality levels.
  • High-Performance / Building Science Execution:
  • Understand (or quickly learn) the principles of tight home construction and support the installation and coordination of Air Quality systems.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain daily logs, progress photos, and track issues and resolutions.
  • Communicate clearly with project leadership to ensure accountability.
  • Light Carpentry & Jobsite Support:
  • Handle small carpentry tasks such as blocking, adjustments, and prep work.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
  • Estimating & Technical Support:
  • Assist with project takeoffs and estimates.
  • Help with problem-solving and technical support as the role progresses.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, borderline obsessive about quality.
  • Technically curious with a desire to understand the "why" behind decisions.
  • Comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback.
  • Able to handle small carpentry projects and oversee jobsite tasks.
  • A background in construction with a strong focus on high-end finishes or building science is a plus.
  • Experience with high-performance homes or building science.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, airflow, or mechanical systems.
  • Can read plans and visualize in 3D.
  • Has worked with architects or design teams in the past.
  • CADD is a plus

Pay & Benefits:

  • Part-time contractor (1099) role to start, with the potential to transition to full-time.
  • Pay: $35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Potential for bonuses based on performance and project KPIs.
  • Flexible schedule with remote and on-site work.
  • Opportunity for professional development support.
  • Paid time off (PTO) may be offered once transitioned to full-time.
