Job Summary

The Senior Tax Associate leads preparation of complex tax returns and supports tax planning and advisory engagements while supervising and mentoring junior team members. This role serves as a key technical resource, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of tax services in accordance with firm standards.

Essential Functions

โ€ข Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and business entities
โ€ข Supervise, review, and provide guidance to Tax Associates and Interns
โ€ข Perform advanced tax research and summarize conclusions and recommendations
โ€ข Assist with tax planning, projections, and client advisory matters
โ€ข Communicate directly with clients regarding tax information requests and issues
โ€ข Support training and development initiatives within the tax practice

Required Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
โ€ข CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure
โ€ข Strong knowledge of federal income tax and related compliance requirements
โ€ข Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
โ€ข Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

โ€ข Public accounting experience with multi-entity or complex client structures
โ€ข Experience with tax planning or specialized tax areas

Physical & Cognitive Demands
