Job description

Responsiblefordroppingandcountingthemoneythatispulledoffthecasinofloorandotherrevenuesources. 

  • Collects and counts revenue from various drop sources per MIC and departmental guidelines

  • Counts, sorts, and organizes all currency, coins, coupons, chips, and paperwork from the drop containers

  • Retrieves drop boxes from the storage areas and appropriately stores all boxes and carts

  • Loads currency counters, utilizes the counter interface, and collects, sorts and reconciles counted funds

  • Straps and hand-stamps money bundles

  • Totals all cash, coins, chips, coupons and other monies, and reconciling documents by shift and by day/date

  • Enters count information into various PC-based applications. Printing, signing all documents, verifying accuracy

  • Accounts for all count room keys and ensures compliance with MIC requirements

  • Communicate currency counter maintenance required to vendor technicians and IT service requests. 

  • Maintains Count Room in a clean and orderly fashion.

  • Follows safety and security guidelines and adheres to department procedures 

  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Proficient in English verbal and written

  • Proficient with iOS devices 

  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certifications including Virginia Lottery Gaming Permit

Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour

  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds 

  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively 

  • Work in an environment containing loud noises, flashing lights, and second hand smoke
