We are pleased to announce the opening of a Threat Missile Analysis Engineer, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Columbia, MD and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control market spaces. Qualified candidates will support various technical areas serving as a multi-disciplinary analyst to multiple projects and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Data analysis and visualization, including responding to quick-reaction requests for analysis
  • Analysis comparing intelligence information to existing data for various applications and purposes
  • Develop and present briefings capturing analysis, intelligence information, and technology trends
  • Perform studies and initial modeling efforts in support of various customer needs on quick-reaction tasking with limited scope
  • Documentation and presentation of work to internal and external customers
  • Reviewing engineering briefs and performing recommendations based on domain knowledge and analytical efforts
  • Preparing and presenting analyses to customers within context of customer needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Other similar/related degrees may be considered if accompanied by relevant experience.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills to convey abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be able to construct succinct and focused technical briefs conveying a clear message to the customer.
  • Must be able to design and execute meaningful analysis.
  • Interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and correlating technical approaches with a diverse team to understand and recommend forward-leaning tasks to the program managers.
  • Skilled in using Python or MATLAB to process, interpret, analyze and plot data derived from engineering products.
  • Strong organization and data management skills.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with missile flight mechanics, orbital mechanics, missile guidance and control systems, or aerospace vehicle performance characteristics.
  • Experience developing threat missile models and trajectory modeling.
  • Experience presenting engineering studies, technical reports, and analytical findings to government customers and technical review boards.
  • Programming and scripting experience in a Linux Environment.
  • Knowledge of aerospace/defense systems technology domains.
  • Experience with cruise, hypersonic, and/or ballistic missile defense programs.
  • Curious, adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn new skills.
