Job description

Surgical Oncology PA locums in North Carolina with an OR first assist heavy workflow, supporting one surgeon at a time on inpatient surgical oncology cases using Epic.


Practice Setting


  • Inpatient surgical oncology service with dedicated OR and hospital support teams
  • Work 1:1 supporting a single surgeon per day
  • Case volume varies, may be one longer case or two to three shorter cases

Schedule


  • Weekly schedule includes Monday and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Option to expand to a full five day week
  • Daytime hours, 7a start with typical end between 4p and 5p
  • No call

Cases and Procedures


  • First assist on surgical oncology cases across hepatobiliary, gastric, pancreatic, and soft tissue
  • Robotic familiarity helpful
  • May assist with inpatient consults and rounding when the OR schedule allows

Requirements


  • Must be a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Board Certified
  • North Carolina license in hand
