Description

As the first and final impressions our guests have of the company, the host/cashier plays a crucial role. Their role extends beyond the functional tasks of seating guests efficiently and processing transactions; they are instrumental in setting the tone for the dining experience with the right demeanor and attention to detail. Finding the right individual with the appropriate qualities is crucial to maintaining a healthy working environment and curating a genuine and positive connection with our guests.

Key duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests, while managing the online seating wait list to determine dining flow
  • Welcome and thank guests, ensuring a positive dining experience
  • Handle guest check transactions, following proper cash handling procedures, processing gift cards and rewards program transactions
  • Operate the point of sale computer terminal
  • Answer the restaurant phone and enter to-go food orders 
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests and concerns, communicating them to servers or management as deemed appropriate
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas during and after service 
  • Inspect and refresh restrooms every 30 minutes
  • Follow verbal and written instructions from the management team 
  • Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with coworkers, management, and guests
  • Work in a fast-paced, noisy environment 
  • Performs opening and closing duties, as needed, assisting with cleaning, stocking, etc
  • Assist in additional tasks and deep cleaning projects as directed by management




Requirements

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 40 lbs several times a day
  • Previous experience in a high volume restaurant setting is preferred
  • Flexibility to work in varying conditions
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the US
