Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner in Stuart, Florida - First Assist Focus

Focus on cardiothoracic surgical first assist and inpatient rounding with a CABG-heavy case mix and reported callback volume of only 1-2 per month.

Practice & Cases


  • Cardiothoracic surgery first assist with CVICU and telemetry rounding
  • Approximately 75 percent CABG and 25 percent valve and aortic surgery
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting experience required
  • Approximately 20-30 surgeries per month with at least four providers per shift

Schedule


  • Monday through Friday daytime coverage
  • Rotating weekends as needed
  • Minimum six nights of call per month
  • Night and weekend call coverage as needed

Requirements


  • Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active Florida license required
  • Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification accepted
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting certification preferred
