Cupe Bc information
What is the difference between Cupe Bc vs Custodian?
| Aspect | Cupe Bc | Custodian |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | High school diploma, union membership | High school diploma, sometimes additional training |
| Work Environment | Public sector, schools, government buildings | Schools, hospitals, public facilities |
| Employer & Industry | Public sector unions, government employers | Educational institutions, public facilities |
Cupe Bc members typically work in public sector roles within government and educational institutions, focusing on maintenance, cleaning, and support services. Custodians also work in similar environments, performing cleaning and maintenance tasks. While both roles often require similar credentials and work settings, Cupe Bc members are unionized workers represented by CUPE, whereas custodians may or may not be unionized. Understanding these differences helps clarify job expectations and employment conditions.
