Job Description

The Marketing Intern position supports campus dining by helping promote programs, events, menu features, and student engagement initiatives across residential and retail dining locations. This role assists with social media content, promotional materials, event coverage, customer feedback, signage, and communication efforts that strengthen the dining experience and increase awareness of campus dining services.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $20.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of campus dining events, pop-ups, theme meals, and student engagement activities
  • Create, capture, and organize photo and video content for dining promotions, events, menu highlights, and social media use
  • Draft social media captions, promotional copy, announcements, and other marketing content in a clear, professional, and brand-appropriate tone
  • Support the development and distribution of flyers, posters, digital signage, table tents, menu highlights, and other marketing materials
  • Conduct signage audits in dining locations to ensure information is accurate, current, neat, and professionally displayed
  • Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner to gather feedback, answer basic dining questions, and promote upcoming events or programs
  • Assist with customer feedback efforts, including surveys, tabling, comment collection, and sharing feedback trends with management
  • Help maintain event calendars, marketing schedules, content trackers, and promotional timelines
  • Collaborate with dining managers, culinary teams, and catering teams to gather accurate information about menus, specials, events, and service updates
  • Monitor campus dining trends, student interests, and engagement opportunities to help generate new marketing ideas
  • Represent campus dining professionally at events, tabling opportunities, dining locations, and student-facing activities
  • Maintain organized marketing files, photos, content drafts, and event materials as directed
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of marketing displays, event materials, promotional tables, and engagement stations
  • Communicate and interact in a professional manner at all times
  • Complete any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team

Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be organized, reliable, punctual, and able to manage tasks independently
  • Must be comfortable engaging with students, staff, and campus partners in a friendly and professional manner
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow written and verbal directions
  • Basic photography, video, social media, Canva, Microsoft Office, or other content creation experience preferred
  • Interest in marketing, communications, hospitality, event planning, social media, or student engagement preferred
  • Must be able to walk and stand during events or dining promotions as needed
  • Must be able to lift and carry light marketing materials, signage, or event supplies as needed

 This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
