Job description

Social Media Manager
At Dig Inn, there's always a story worth sharing. A new protein hitting the market line. A chef doing something really special in the kitchen. A regular who knows their BYO bowl order by heart. A cultural moment we just have to jump into.
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to find those moments and make them unmistakably Dig Inn. You'll own how we show up across social platforms-bringing our food, people, restaurants, and personality to life in ways that feel fresh, relevant, and genuinely worth stopping the scroll for. Because for us, social isn't just about showing what's on the plate, it's about telling the stories of the people, places, and ingredients that got it there.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be where the stories are. You'll spend time in our restaurants, work alongside our chefs and operators, partner closely with our creative team, and keep a finger on the pulse of what's happening in food, culture, and the internet.
If you're equal parts creator, storyteller, and community builder, and believe food has the power to bring people together, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
  • Own Dig Inn's social media strategy across all platforms, ensuring every channel reflects our brand and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute seasonal campaigns, always-on content and real-time storytelling that grow our audience and deepen customer engagement.
  • Capture, create and publish social-first content-including short-form video, photography and trend-driven content
  • Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling and community engagement across all active social channels
  • Regularly spend time in our restaurants uncovering authentic stories, celebrating our people and bringing the Dig Inn experience to life.
  • Build relationships with creators, influencers, local communities and like-minded brands to expand our reach and relevance.
  • Identify emerging trends, platforms and cultural moments, testing new ideas that keep Dig Inn fresh and differentiated.
  • Manage agency and creator partners where appropriate.
  • Analyze performance, uncover insights and continuously optimize content based on audience behavior and business results.
  • Partner across Marketing, Culinary, Operations and Leadership to tell one cohesive Dig Inn story.
  • Help connect social media efforts to broader business goals, including restaurant traffic, loyalty, catering and brand awareness.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience developing social strategies that translate into measurable business and brand results.
  • Strong content creation skills, including experience producing or directing short-form video for platforms like Instagram/Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and the possibility of Substack, Reddit and any emerging platforms
  • Knowledge of current macro and micro trends, platform updates, and cultural conversations.
  • Experience managing content calendars. Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities or campaigns at once
  • Exceptional creative instincts and a strong understanding of what makes content engaging, shareable and culturally relevant.
  • Experience working with creators, influencers and strategic brand partnerships.
  • Strong copywriting, communication and storytelling skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment.
  • Curiosity about food, culture, hospitality and the evolving social media landscape.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative and productivity tools that improve content creation and workflow.
You'll Thrive Here If...
  • You notice trends before everyone else.
  • You stop to capture something because you know it'll make a great Reel.
  • You believe the best brands feel human-not corporate.
  • You enjoy spending time in restaurants talking with cooks, operators and guests.
  • You're endlessly curious about food, culture and the internet.
Compensation Range
  • Salary Range: $70,000-85,000/year
Work Perks
In addition to competitive compensation and comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, we offer:
  • 16 weeks of Fully Paid Parental Leave (for primary and secondary caregivers)
  • Short-Term Disability
  • Bonus Potential
  • Phone reimbursement
  • Commuter benefits
  • Company laptop
  • Flexible vacation time (up to 20 days a year)
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Complimentary Dig Inn lunch every day
About Dig Inn
Since 2011, Dig Inn has been serving scratch-cooked, seasonal food inspired by the farmers and ingredients we know best. Today, we operate more than 30 restaurants across the Northeast, bringing chef-driven food and genuine hospitality to everyday dining.
We're passionate about creating food that's rooted in the seasons, made with care and served by people who love what they do. Just as importantly, we're building a brand that people want to be part of-one that celebrates great ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, exceptional hospitality and the simple joy of sharing a meal.
