Sentara is hiring a Central Sterile Service Technician II at Sentara Virginia Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Shift: Full Time Second Shift (3p-11p) M-F
Job Description
The Central Sterile Services Technician I is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments, medical equipment, and supplies used in patient care. This position operates and maintains sterilization equipment according to established procedures and standards. Examines medical equipment for defects and reports faulty equipment to appropriate personnel.
Education
  • HSD/GED REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Certification - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certificate REQUIRED

Experience
  • 1 year CSS, sterilization, and/or central sterile processing experience REQUIRED
