Work You'll Do

As a Project Manager, Senior Defense Policy Advisor- Contract Support Operations on the Supply Chain and Network Operations team, you will:

  • Serve as principal subject matter expert (SME) and advisor to the Contract Support Operations (CSO) Team Lead and government stakeholders on all facets of CSO 
  • Provide authoritative guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from shaping data calls and analysis to reviewing the final packaging of recommendations for senior leader decision forums 
  • Serve as senior subject matter mentor to the Policy Analysts and other (Contract Support Operations) CSO team members, ensuring their work is analytically sound and in alignment with strategic guidance, policy, doctrine, and other requirements
  • Synthesize diverse inputs (e.g. CSO data, studies, policies) to provide a unified strategic narrative and inform the project's direction 
  • Act as senior SME within Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and working groups, guiding discussions, validating analytical approaches, shaping data visualizations, and building consensus around findings 
  • Provide critical SME recommendations for the integration of project activities into a unified effort across portfolios strategically to develop and enhance CSO

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, or PhD with 8+ years of experience 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility 
  • 5+ years experience of contract policy, regulatory, and doctrinal frameworks, and with translating high-level mandates into analytical requirements for project teams
  • Ability to work on-site in Alexandria up to 5 days a week (2-3 days on-site typically)

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting VTM, OCS, and/or PSC programs
  • Experience writing policy documents or guidance within federal or DoW regulatory frameworks
  • Experience performing data analysis or governance support in a defense or logistics environment
